I am so excited to announce that DEC is growing, despite the challenges we and so many of our fellow program providers have experienced this year with COVID. We have been blessed with an opportunity to expand our facilities, services, and client community. In mid-October, Sky and I purchased a DDD licensed property in the historic Catlin Court neighborhood in downtown Glendale, AZ for DEC to manage.
This fantastic property already had a DTA program and engaged clients. The previous agency, TRANSITIONS, was forced to make the tough decision to leave the west side of the Valley. I met with them, toured the facility, and felt incredibly moved to intervene. They were relieved to know that our agency was ready and willing to step in. We reached out and invited the Catlin Court clients into the DEC community.
The facility is located at 7145 N. 57th Drive Glendale, AZ 85301 and was specifically designed for the types of services we provide, with 4 classrooms, a recreation room, a visitors’ reception area, a spacious full kitchen directly adjacent to the lunch area, an office, laundry room, and 2 parking lots. I’m so excited that the site can serve up to 20 members for programs and employment services! Members of both of our Glendale facilities will be able to participate in joint activities, utilizing the large indoor recreation area at Belaire and enjoying downtown Glendale’s various festivities. It fits perfectly into our goals to expand our offerings to our precious clients as well as to serve even more clients.
This expansion further solidifies DEC’s Glendale presence, our financial stability, and our sustained growth without jeopardizing the ongoing Olivete Place building project in uptown Phoenix.
Your support and prayers mean the world to our mission and to our clients. We are making a difference in the lives of our clients, one family and one goal at a time. Thank you for being a part of this community.
