Program Support Opportunities

There are many ways you can help support DEC programs through volunteering! Program support volunteers work directly with our staff and clients to assist with daily activities and outings. If you’re interested in volunteering for program support, please fill out the online volunteer application below.

Reading Assistants

Volunteer once or twice a week to read mail, stories, or news to clients.

Special Outing Buddy

Do you want to go bowling with us? Do you like going to the movies? We’d like to get to know you!

Chaperone

Provide leadership and direction to staff and clients during privately funded special events.

Project Leader/Teacher/Aides

Lead the staff and clients in special projects such as art, crafts, cooking, games, and special holiday events and parties.

Pet Therapy/Performers/Story Tellers

Share your love of animals, talents, stories, exotic adventures, or introduce a new culture/world to our clients.

Multi-Passenger Van Driver

Provide periodic client transportation for special weekend events.
